He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Donna. He is survived by his children Brian of Oregon, Ohio, and Sheri (Allan Beaver) of Belpre, sister Elsie Bonnette of Marietta, and grandchildren Aaron Schwartz of Gastonia, North Carolina, Amanda Schwartz of Oregon, Ohio, and Samuel Beaver of Belpre, Ohio. He was active in Civitan – twice serving as president of the local chapter, served on the board of the American Red Cross and was active at Gilman United Methodist Church, giving generously of himself always and serving as a custodian until July of this year. Charlie was an avid volunteer and gave generously to his community. They were married for 41 years until Donna passed away on April 11, 2006.
